Fostering a strong relationship between our agency and our volunteers is something that is very important to us. We strive to offer all volunteers the opportunity to gain valuable experience and skills that are transferable towards their employment aspirations or everyday life. In order for effective contributions to be fostered all our volunteers receive training surrounding our agency policies and procedures as well as the issues and challenges of those living with, affected or at risk of HIV.
Volunteers have key roles in various aspects of our agency’s work. They contribute to:
- The delivery of programs and services
- Fundraising and grant writing
- Program development through various committees
- Governance through the board of directors
