Our Support Services offers structured interventions and guidance geared towards Persons Living with HIV (PHAs) and those affected in Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent.
Activities offered through Support Services varies from year to year and depends on population specific needs and the availability of resources.
Case Management
- Client accompaniment to medical appointments
- Community partner referrals (ex. primary care physicians, food banks)
- Adherence to medication regimes
- Assistance with government forms
- Wellness checks
Practical Assistance
- Health and wellness presentations for PHAs and their families
- Educational workshops/presentations
- Transportation support
- Complementary therapies
Food & Nutrition
- Food package drop-off (available on a case by case basis)
- Distribution of Ensure (meal replacement shakes)*
- Christmas and Thanksgiving dinner for PHAs in Windsor and Chatham
- Distribution of Goodfellow boxes (Christmas)
Social Programming
- Peer-led social events
- Camp Wendake
- Opening Doors (postponed until further notice)
- World AIDS Day Candlelight Vigil
